Piemonte & the Italian Lake District
Overview
Explore the region of Piemonte, where the movement to unify Italy started 150 years ago.
On this tour we make our way from Turin, the first capital of Italy, through to the Langhe, an area of hill towns and vineyards, famous for their wines and culinary traditions.
Barolo is one of Italy's finest wines, and Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, is where the words most sought after white truffle is found.
After walks through vineyards and hill towns, we make our way North, to the Italian Lakes, situated at the feet of the Alps.
Lake Orta, Lake Maggiore and Lake Como, all offer stunning scenery and charming lake front towns, with gorgeous villas and splendid hanging gardens.
