Italian language course taught in one of Italy's most scenic historic locations - Cortona Tuscany. A language programme based on the realities of every day life including social and cultural aspects. We use a method which teaches grammar and vocabulary but also enables the student to put this knowledge into practice and learn to communicate effectively.

Itinerary
Day 1
A visit to a Tuscan Winery
Meet at 11.00 at Terontola-Cortona station. Visit the vineyards of one of the finest producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano followed by a delicious luncheon served with wines chosen to enhance the tasting experience. Return to our Tuscan home in Cortona to relax and settle in.
Day 2
Italian lesson & Etruscan museum
9.00 – 12.00 Italian class
Tasty picnic in the shady tree-lined park of Cortona and then free time to explore the medieval streets and monuments of Cortona including visit to the Etruscan museum.
Day 3
Italian lesson & Culinary afternoon
9.00 – 12.00 Italian class
Picnic lunch under the shade of umbrella pines with stunning views of Lake Trasimeno. In the afternoon our chef guides you through the preparation of a Tuscan dinner.
Day 4
Italian lesson & Montepulciano
9.00 – 12.00 Italian class
Lunch in the walled hamlet of Montichiello before continuing to Montepulciano to explore its narrow streets and visiting the Renaissance San Biagio church with its stunning avenue of Tuscan cypresses.
Day 5
Italian lesson & Montalcino
9.00 – 12.00 Italian class
After lunch we drive to the hill-town of Montalcino and we take a walking tour with a Brunello wine tasting at the medieval Fortress.
Day 6
Italian lesson & Culinary afternoon
9.00 – 12.00 Italian class
Lunch in Cortona with free time to explore. Another informal yet intensive exploration of regional cooking in the delightful and historic setting of our Tuscan farmhouse.
Day 7
Medieval Siena
Walking tour in the heart of gothic medieval Siena. We visit the most richly decorated cathedral with masterpieces by Duccio, Pisano, Lorenzetti, Donatello, Pinturicchio and Michelangelo. In the Campo Square we learn about the world famous Palio horse race. The rest of the morning is free for independent exploration. In the afternoon we relax in the hot springs of a local Spa.
Day 8
Departure from Terontola-Cortona station
Scheduled departure from Molino di Bordone at 9.00 for Cortona train station (20mins).
