Caspin Journeys - unique walking holidays in Italy and England

Guided Trips

Health and fitness

For full enjoyment, a certain degree of health and fitness is required on our tours. Therefore, when you sign up for a tour it is on the understanding that you are in normal good health. If there is any doubt as to your health, it is your responsibility to provide us with a doctors certificate approving your health and safety for the trip for which you have signed up.

Tour reservation

Before a booking can be accepted we must receive a signed booking form and the relevant deposit per person. When a booking is made within 75 days of departure the full amount of the tour must be paid at the time of booking. On receipt of the necessary documentation we will advise you (normally within 10 days) that your booking has been accepted. The final balance of your tour must be paid at least 75 days before departure date. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your tour, retain your deposit, and apply cancellation charges as set out below.

Code of conduct

When you sign up for one of our tours, you agree to abide by the decision of your Caspin Journeys’ guide. If you commit a crime or behave in such a way as to endanger the safety and welfare of the party, our guides have the right to ask you to leave the holiday immediately and there will be no refund payable. On unescorted excursions we rely on you to act sensibly and prudently at all times and to comply with local codes of conduct. You will indemnify us of all losses and/or damages arising from any act of misconduct on your part or anyone in your party.

Any changes or cancellations must be communicated to us in writing (we accept fax).

We do, however, reserve the right to alter a tour itinerary, for example due to adverse weather or similar considerations, or if we consider it necessary or for any other reason and at any time. We also reserve the right to cancel a booking or a tour if we consider it necessary, or if a minimum of 6 clients is not reached by 8 weeks before date of commencement of trip, or at any time and for any reason, although obviously we will endeavour not to do so. If we cancel a trip or a booking the client will receive prompt and full refund of all money paid to Caspin Journeys for the tour.

General

The following conditions apply to both guided trips and apartment rentals

Price policy

Prices are correct at time of publishing. Base currency is that of the country in which the tour is operating. Caspin Journeys reserves the right to make price changes if necessary. Customers will be informed of any alteration to the published price at the time of booking. Once a booking has been received and confirmed by us in writing, the price to the customer in the base currency will not vary for that booking.

We strongly advise that all our clients take out adequate travel insurance to cover cancellation, illness and accident, and we recommend insurance for personal belongings for the duration of the holiday. Please note that Caspin Journeys cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to your luggage or personal property, nor for any other loss, damage, inconvenience, delay, illness, fatal or other injury, suffered by you as a result of making a reservation, or during your holiday. Please confirm that you have adequate travel insurance

Dispute policy

Our contracts are governed by English law and in the unlikely event of a dispute arising that we cannot settle amicably we agree to refer the matter to arbitration under the terms of the arbitration act 1950.
